Prosthodontics is the dental specialty pertaining to the diagnosis , treatment planning , rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function , comfort, appearance and health of patients with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes. The department is located on the first floor and which is widely spread in the entire floor which consists of preclinical laboratory with a capacity of 120 students. The clinical section is further divided into undergraduate clinical section and post-graduate clinical section; which is well positioned with good light and ventilation and has got a separate fully fledged sterilization area according to the infection control protocol. The departmental library is adequately stocked with contemporary book from international publication houses.The ceramic laboratory boasts state of the art equipment’s for fabrication of all ceramic restorations, flexible dentures and precision attachments. We also perform implant dentistry in a separate air-conditioned implant section with all the required instruments and implant sets along with RVG.
